Scope

Greyline supported the LB Hillingdon in modernising and improving facilities at their Ickenham Library, in a 12-week programme of works involving refurbishment and structural works.
Our team undertook a relocation of the library reception area, repositioning it in a more prominent position near the entrance. To facilitate this we completed structural works, creating a new window opening through a loadbearing wall, to provide the reception team with a view of the front entrance doors. Greyline managed the full process, including design, working with Building Control and our own appointed structural engineer to complete this element.
Prior to commencing wider refurbishment of the internal space we addressed structural cracking within the building. Once complete we undertook internal works encompassing decorating, flooring replacement, bathroom refresh, and installation of new bespoke fixed furniture. Adding more useability to the space for the library management team, we installed new partitions and a window to provide new office space.
