Quality, Environment and Occupational Health & Safety Policy

Greyline is committed to maintaining an integrated management system that meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, while adhering to all relevant UK legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and environmental regulations.

As a building contractor specialising in new build, refurbishment, and maintenance works, we are dedicated to delivering the highest standards of service that meet and exceed our customers’ requirements, while safeguarding the environment and ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of our employees, contractors, and stakeholders.

To achieve this, Greyline Group Ltd will:

  • Comply with UK legal and regulatory requirements – Meet all applicable UK laws, regulations, customer requirements, and other obligations related to quality, the environment, and occupational health and safety, as outlined in the controlled documents register.
  • Promote a safe and healthy workplace – Provide safe and healthy working conditions to prevent work related injuries and ill health, and actively eliminate or reduce workplace hazards and risks in compliance with UK regulations and best practices.
  • Engage employees and stakeholders – Foster a culture of health, safety and environmental awareness by involving employees in decision making, providing training, and ensuring a work environment where they can perform safely and effectively.
  • Protect the environment – Commit to environmental sustainability, including pollution prevention, resource efficiency, biodiversity protection, and supporting the UK’s Net Zero goals for climate change mitigation and adaptation.
  • Take a systematic approach – Manage quality, environment, and occupational health and safety as an integrated system of processes to achieve business objectives, continually improving efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Set and monitor objectives – Establish clear, measurable objectives for quality, environmental performance, and health and safety that reflect UK industry standards. Monitor progress and performance regularly through management reviews and audits.
  • Promote continuous improvement – Continually improve our management system by learning from audits, incidents, and customer feedback, and by implementing best practices to enhance outcomes.
  • Commit to leadership and communication – Ensure leadership at all levels promotes our vision, values, and commitment to quality, environment, and health and safety. This policy is communicated effectively to all employees and stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding and responsibility.
  • Emergency preparedness – Prepare for emergencies, including environmental incidents and workplace accidents, by implementing robust contingency plans and ensuring compliance with the UK’s Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations where applicable.

Greyline will review this policy annually to ensure it remains relevant and effective in meeting our strategic goals and obligations under UK laws and standards. This review serves as a foundation for identifying opportunities for improvement and sharing best practices across the organisation.
