A Greyline Christmas gift for sheltered housing residents in Greenwich

Greyline have donated 40 Christmas dinners and gift hampers to elderly residents in sheltered accommodation in the RB Greenwich. As part of an ongoing successful delivery of aids and adaptations works, providing wet room conversions for residents in Ann Stroud Court, Greyline wanted to thank residents for their patience and support during the works to their home, and what better way than with some Christmas cheer to begin the season’s celebrations.

Each resident was served with a full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and given a special gift hamper containing mince pies, chocolates, sweets, jam, tea, and a Christmas cake. The donation from the Greyline team amounts to £2000.

Our Site Manager, Hazel Ward and John Leo were both on hand to deliver the Christmas treats and serve dinner, the latter provided by local Greenwich-based caterers, Lou’s Kitchen.

Jignesh Patel, Clerk of works said “ I just wanted to thank Hazel and Greyline for the incredibly successful Christmas celebrations at Ann Stroud Court , Hazel delivered a truly impressive day for the residents of this sheltered block, some who have not seen or had visits from family and friends for almost a year.

The meal itself could only be described as deliciously scrumptious. The tenants and I were totally blown away by the generous portions and fantastic quality of it all. The fact that Hazel, John and Russ not only served the meals in the communal area but delivered hot meals to every resident that could not make it downstairs was a true testament to their planning, Hazels limitless drive and unwavering determination made this event the success it was. In addition to the meal itself, Hazel and her band of ‘elves’ delivered an extremely generous Christmas Hamper to each and every resident.

All I can say is a very big thank you to both Hazel (including elves & a reindeer) and Greyline for your amazing generosity and kindness.“
